Major media outlets from around the world have recently given much attention to some findings reported at a conference in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Nov 9, 2018, which highlighted Hangzhou's efforts in promoting high-quality economic development with a first-class business environment.

In an article published on Jan 9 titled Hangzhou: Creating a World-class Business Environment and Promoting High-Quality Economic Development, PR Newswire showcased the achievements Hangzhou has made over the years in optimizing its business environment, which was reposted by over 510 global media outlets from 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and the US in nine languages, including internationally renowned news organizations such as the American ABC News and Fox News, the Japanese Asahi Shimbun and the Russian Itar-Tass.

"With its business environment ever optimizing, Hangzhou has gradually risen to be a leading city with a strong private economy in China," the article said.

It also hailed the rolling out of business registration reform and a range of preferential policies in the city, saying that not only has the process and time needed for government services been greatly shortened, but also it allows companies to benefit from tax reductions and other financial grants.
