The See Hong Kong Photographic Exhibition opened in Hangzhou on Oct 15.

The exhibition, hosted by the Zhejiang liaison office of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, showcased the scenery and social life of Hong Kong.

"The exhibition mirrored the changes that have taken place in Hong Kong as well as photographers' affection for the city", said Deng Zhongmin, director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai.

"For a long time now, Hong Kong has maintained a close relationship with Hangzhou in science and technology, education, construction and culture," Deng said, "I hope that both cities can continue to deepen cooperation while focusing on helping young people in Hong Kong better understand the Chinese mainland.”

According to Chen Weiqiang, vice-mayor of Hangzhou, remarkable achievements have been made in the cooperation between the two cities in recent years, especially in terms of economy.

A decade ago, Hong Kong became the largest source of foreign capital in Hangzhou, Deng added.
