An increasing number of online stores have begun reopening on Taobao, an online shopping platform affiliated with Hangzhou-based Alibaba Group, according to a report released by Taobao on Feb 17.

According to the report, around 30,000 stores on Taobao have reopened per day since the beginning of February.

Last week, the number of stores reopening on Taobao increased by 22 percent over the previous week.

Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu were home to the highest number of reopened stores.

The report said that nearly half of delivery workers in the country had returned to work, and Guangdong was home to the highest number of delivered items.

In addition, many factories, property developers, and automobile sellers have turned to live streaming on Taobao to sell their products.

According to the report, over the past week more than 10 million companies and nearly 200 million people had used DingTalk, an Alibaba-powered platform that allows companies to work remotely.

Taobao announced that starting Feb 17, it will begin releasing daily reports on its situation.
