An online matchmaking session focusing on the prospects of Zhejiang-Germany cooperation in digital economy and high-tech industries kicked off in Hangzhou on June 10.

About 300 representatives from enterprises and industrial parks in Zhejiang and Germany shared their insights at the event.

German companies have been exploring new business possibilities in Zhejiang. One example is multinational software corporation SAP, which has been planning to expand its clientele from the current large-lot producers to include small and medium-sized companies in Zhejiang.

Domestic manufacturers have also been working to establish closer ties with their German counterparts. For example, the Zhejiang provincial rail transit group has sought to learn more from foreign industrial leaders as it aims to ensure the safety of railway facilities and minimize costs.

"There will be win-win results when our market is combined with German experience, as the European country has gathered massive amounts of data and operational experience in the past decades," said Chen Hua, president of the group.
