The Hangzhou Performing Arts Group, together with the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, performed at a concert themed "Pleasant Summer" at the Tonglu Theater on July 31.

This was the first time that the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra gave a performance in Tonglu, a county-level city in Hangzhou. The concert was conducted by Hong Yin.

On May 6, the Hangzhou Performing Arts Group signed a cooperative agreement with the government of Tonglu to make the Tonglu Theater a member of the Hangzhou Performing Theater Alliance.

According to Zhang Yunzhi, chief executive of the operation department of the Hangzhou Performing Arts Group, more than 300 concert tickets were sold within a week after they went on sale on July 16.

Zhang added that residents in Tonglu can now watch top artistic performances without having to travel to the downtown areas of Hangzhou.

Hangzhou Performing Arts Group said that it would bring more high-caliber artistic performances by Chinese and foreign groups as the epidemic wanes.

The Hangzhou Performing Arts Theater Alliance currently has four members - the Xinwan Theater in Qiantang New Area, the Fuyang Theater in Fuyang district, the Tonglu Theater, and the Deqing Theater in Huzhou city.
