Companies in Hangzhou are enjoying simplified administrative approval procedures, as the upgraded Qinqing Online platform has saved them the need of visiting administrative service centers, local media reported.

Zhejiang Saintyear Textile Co, which has been planning to set up new production lines for medical and healthcare materials earlier this year, was the first to benefit from the new service.

Using the platform, the amount of physical paperwork required was greatly reduced, and major appeals were handled in just nine-and-a-half hours, down from the former nine days.

"The process is becoming simpler and quicker - but I never expected it to be this quick," said Ni Weiguo, director of Saintyear Textile.

"The whole process was completed online, which is really convenient for us, as the company is located some 20 kilometers away from the administrative service center," Ni said.

It took Ni just 24 days to handle the whole process from sharing his plan with local administrative officers to having the new project put into construction.

"Once completed, we will be able to manufacture 32,000 tons of medical and healthcare materials every year. We aim to better serve the market and ensure the supply of epidemic prevention and control materials," Ni said.
