3D animation adapted from sci-fi hit airs on Tencent

The 3D animation Swallowed Star, adapted from the hit science-fiction series The Legend of Spacewalkers on Qidian, a domestic Chinese online literature site, has aired on Tencent's video platform on Nov 29.

Produced by the Hangzhou-based Sparkly Key Animation Studio, the animated work tells a story about how the protagonist Luo Feng who wants to be a great martial artist, overcomes difficulties and dangers in a post-apocalyptic world to become a hero.

It is also the first time for the Chinese animation studio to collaborate with the UK's Axis Studios, a award-winning animation studio involved in the production the renowned animated Netflix anthology series, Love, Death, and Robots.

The animated work aims to cooperate with foreign studios to shape the image of a Chinese superhero.
