Hangzhou CPC deputies voice opinions

Deputies to the Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress voiced their opinions at the ongoing annual session from Feb 3 to 5, local media outlets reported.

Ying Caihong, secretary of the Party working committee of Changqing sub-district, Xiacheng district, proposed powering urban governance with more digital and smart solutions in an effort to help grassroots workers better integrate resources, alleviate stress, and improve work efficiency.

Zheng Nanhu, chief of the Sixiang county farmer's specialized cooperative, suggested branding the local culture and tourism industry with Su Shi, also known as Su Dongpo, a great poet and essayist of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) who visited the county several times.

Lu Weiqiang, a postgraduate of the prestigious Zhejiang University and a business starter in the agricultural industry in Fuyang district, said that bringing in talent should be the top priority for rural vitalization. He suggested Hangzhou implement better policies for cultivating rural talent and continue to optimize the business environment in rural areas.

Luo Hongying, principal of the Huadu hairdressing school, proposed providing technological education for the elderly through classes, working out targeted car-hailing services, and developing customized smart devices for the elderly in order to improve their quality of life.
