Hangzhou deputies and members attending the 2021 sessions of the National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference have departed for Beijing. Here is what some of them have to say.

Hu Shaoxian, partner of the Pan-China Certified Public Accountants, said that old-age insurance policies should be improved more quickly and old-age and medical insurance should be pooled together.

Luo Weihong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress, said she will submit motions regarding the promotion of digitalization in rural areas, establishment of a national comprehensive science center, and the development of an infant nursing service industry.

Du Wei, chairman of the Zhejiang sodality meeting of intellectuals, said he will focus on solutions to financing difficulties experienced by small and medium-sized enterprises, and is considering setting up a digital credit platform like the one applied in Zhejiang as part of its digitalization reform efforts.

Du also expressed concerns about the increasing severity of the city's over-education issue. He hopes to simplify basic education through policy guidance and bring a healthy environment back to children.

The deputies will also work together to promote the 19th Asian Games by sharing Hangzhou's experiences and stories.
