Qianhe village, an important site of China's women's movement

The slogan of "Women hold up half the sky" has inspired generations of Chinese people since the 1950s, but few people know that these encouraging words originated in Qianhe village, a modest corner in Jiande, a county level city in Hangzhou, which has been home to numerous dedicated, independent, and innovative women.

The Education Base of Qianhe Women's Spirit

The base mainly consists of a permanent exhibition on the history and development of the women's movement in China. Many old documents, photos, videos, and materials are displayed.

Qianhe Auditorium

The Qianhe Auditorium has an indoor stage and comprehensive facilities that allows it to be able to accommodate 160 spectators for lectures and cultural shows at the same time.

Qianhe Militiawoman Hall

The Qianhe Militiawoman Hall was transformed from a former training camp and is currently mainly used for hosting exhibitions and cultural interactions. Virtual reality facilities are also available to enrich visitors' experiences.

Industrial Practice Site for Rural Revitalization in Qianhe

The industrial practice site for rural revitalization in Qianhe village was built up from a small noodle restaurant and has now expanded into the tea and liquor industries. It offers cultural experiences and sells agricultural, as well as sideline cultural and creative products.
