The launch ceremony for 388 major projects related to Zhejiang province's common prosperity drive was held at the Zhejiang Provincial Great Hall of the People in the provincial capital of Hangzhou on Aug 13.

Worth a combined 569.2 billion yuan ($87.9 billion) in investment, these projects consist of 80 infrastructure programs, 134 social welfare programs, and 174 industrial development programs.

There are 150 projects that have an investment of more than one billion yuan, and nine projects that have more than 10 billion yuan.

A total of 130 projects will be carried out in the province's 26 mountainous counties which lag behind Zhejiang's coastal counties in economic development. Their total investment amounts to 94.5 billion yuan.
