CEO of rural villages in Hangzhou committed to making changes

Yuhang district in Hangzhou started to employ professional managers for rural villages in 2019 to develop its rural economy. These managers are also called "CEO of villages."
To date, seven village CEOs have stepped into office and have worked to bring prosperity to villages.
Liu Song is one of them. Under his management, Yong'an village's revenue last year reached more than 16 million yuan ($2.51 million) and is expected to hit over 22 million yuan this year.

This year, Yuhang initiated a new round of employment, attracting 175 candidates to sign up for the competition to be professional managers in villages. Among these candidates, 116 are graduates with a bachelor's degree, accounting for 76.8 percent, and 35 hold master's degrees, accounting for 23.3 percent.
