A series of activities to promote the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 was held in Delingha city, Northwest China's Qinghai province, on Aug 3-4.

More than 50 local residents participated in a quiz on the Asian Games, learning the concepts, slogans, mascots, competition items and other facts about the Hangzhou Asian Games.

"I have been following the Hangzhou Asian Games online for a long time, so the questions are not difficult for me. If possible, I will go watch the games in Hangzhou next year," said one of the quiz winners.

Ding Jiong, an official from the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, delivered a lecture entitled "The Opportunities and Challenges of the Hangzhou Asian Games". Ding reviewed the history, development, aesthetics and culture of the Asian Games, the preparations for the Asian Games since Hangzhou's bid to host them in 2015, and how to deal with various challenges due to the postponement of the games.

In addition, companies from Zhejiang donated to Delingha, including Alipay (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd., which donated sports equipment packages to 20 rehabilitation institutions for the disabled in Qinghai with the proceeds from the sale of digital products based on the mascot of the Asian Paralympic Games "Feifei".

To celebrate and spread the culture of the Asian Games, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee is carrying out Asian Games publicity activities in paired cities. After Enshi in Hubei, Guangyuan in Sichuan, Ganzi in Sichuan, and Delingha in Qinghai, they will go to other paired cities to promote the Asian Games.

Delingha city is the capital of the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Qinghai province and is home to 19 ethnic minorities. Since 2010, Hangzhou has paired with the city to help with construction, infrastructure, education and development.
