On the same day, Shenzhen Aviators grabbed a season-opening 102-90 victory over Shandong Heroes at the Hangzhou Gymnasium, which underwent three years of renovation for the Asian Games.

Shenzhen player He Xining, who had 25 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, said the venue's floor is "comfortable" and "encourages him to play".

The first nine rounds of the 2022-2023 CBA are being held at the Huanglong Sports Center and Hangzhou Gymnasium from October 10 to 30, according to the CBA on Sept 10.

This arrangement was made to minimize travel between cities in light of the current pandemic situation in China, the CBA explained. The schedule for the remainder of the season has yet to be determined.
