Hangzhou Asian Games boast impressive figures

A total of 56 venues for the Asian Games have been completed and 54 have opened to the public, with appointments being easily made via platforms such as the "Asian Games Venues Online" and "AI Hangzhou".
As of Aug 7, the "Asian Games Venues Online" mobile platform had received 760,000 visits since it was launched on May 26, with more than 1.52 million people doing exercises via 84,000 transactions.
The National Fitness Day on Aug 8, stadiums and gymnasiums opened to the public for free, triggering an upsurge in zeal for national fitness, with swimming becoming the most popular sport.
For example, the Tianshui natatorium, the venue for the Asian Games swimming competitions, accommodated 3,572 swimmers, the pool at Zhengyuan was visited by 1,930 swimmers, and the Hangzhou No 2 Middle School swimming pool was visited 1,285 times.
Thanks to the construction of fitness facilities, the sports boom brought about by the Asian Games continues. By the end of 2022, the per capita area of sports venues in Zhejiang is expected to exceed 2.6 square meters, and more than 42.5 percent of the total population is expected to exercise regularly.
