The "Samaranch Cup" Tennis City Invitational Tournament (Hangzhou Station) was held at the Huanglong Sports Center in Hangzhou on Nov 5.

The tournament gathered the top amateur tennis players in Hangzhou, as well as a special young player from Southwest China's Yunnan province.

Wang Fa, a young tennis player from the Yunnan Wild Elephant Tennis Club, was invited to compete and accept the donation from the Hangzhou Tennis Association on behalf of his club.

"This is my first time in Hangzhou. The weather is good, and the venue is better than our training base," said Wang.

Wang trained at the Yunnan Wild Elephant Tennis Club, where he hits the wall with a ball 6,000 to 7,000 times a day. His dream is to become a professional tennis player in the next three years.

Yu Fuming, president of the Hangzhou Tennis Association, said that this is the first time the Samaranch Foundation has cooperated with the Hangzhou Tennis Association to promote the development of tennis in Hangzhou. The Hangzhou Tennis Association said it wants to help more children in the mountains chase their tennis dreams.
