Hangzhou government recently released a report on the influence and significance of local enterprises going overseas, Hangzhou Daily reported.

The report took into account indicators such as the brands' development basis, business environment, and overseas expansions.

The report shows that Hangzhou's cross-border e-commerce companies going overseas have made steady progress in recent years.

"The industrial ecosystem of Hangzhou cross-border e-commerce has been continuously optimized. The industrial foundation has also been consolidated. The number of providers of services to help enterprises go overseas has been increasing. Brand awareness was greatly improved. Market players paid more attention to brand construction, channel construction and model innovation. Some enterprises have also realized the acquisition of foreign brands," said professor Chen Ji from Zhejiang Gongshang University.

The report was jointly compiled by the China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, the Data Engineering Technology and Application Collaborative Innovation Center of Zhejiang Gongshang University, Zhejiang Institute of Big Data Statistics, Institute of Statistical Index, and Global Cross-border E-commerce Brand Research Center.
