Ten students who have been awarded the outstanding proposal to the Hangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference attended on the first day of the CPPCC session on Feb 18 as non-voting members.

Jin Jianuo, who majors in Chinese language and literature at Zhejiang University City College, took a proposal on urban memory projects with her to the session.

"I will learn from CPPCC members how to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as cooperate and communicate with others. I will also reflect on the meeting and share with my classmates," Jin said.

"As a senior high school student, I really feel that the CPPCC Hangzhou Committee attaches importance to our student proposals, and I also appreciate them giving us the opportunity to practice participating in politics and society," said Fan Haoran from Hangzhou No 2 High School.

Deng Mingran, a student from Hangzhou High School, learned about the work of the Hangzhou CPPCC last year and its work priorities for 2023.

"I felt that the CPPCC affects every aspect of our lives, from economic development to improvement of people's livelihood and urban construction," Deng said.
