The Hangzhou cruise, which covers a distance of 235 kilometers on the Xin'an River, Fuchun River, and Qiantang River, recently began operating.

The boats sail against the current, carrying passengers upstream to counties and cities such as Fuyang, Tonglu, and Jiande from downtown Hangzhou.

The route passes through six districts, three counties, and more than 70 subdistricts, offering a wealth of tourist attractions. It includes two national scenic spots, two national tourist resorts, six national forest parks, and 22 tourist attractions, two of which are rated 5A, seventeen 4A, and eight 3A.

With a focus on Fuchun Mountain and the Qiantang River, Hangzhou plans to create a new tourism spatial distribution, with five major product belts centered around international performances, luxury hotels in natural settings, local cuisine, Tang and Song dynasty poetry, and outdoor sports. In addition, the water tourism product system led by cruise ship vacation products and the shore tourism product system led by international brands will also be launched.

Furthermore, 50 ships are expected to be put into use before the Hangzhou Asian Games, with ticket prices ranging from hundreds to thousands of yuan. In March, the cruise will offer a range of tourism programs, including one-day boat rides and three-day tours.

This new cruise is believed to have enormous market potential, with scientific calculations projecting tourist numbers to exceed 10 million over the next five years.
