Cross-border e-commerce summit held in Hangzhou

Over 900 representatives and leading figures from the cross-border e-commerce industry attended the 2018 China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Summit, which was held in Linping New town, Yuhang district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Oct 12.

Attendees shared experiences and know-how and discussed how to explore new opportunities in the industry at the summit, which aimed to develop the cross e-commerce ecosystem in Yuhang.

An innovative service center, the first of its kind worldwide, was established amid efforts to provide professional services and guidance to cross-border e-commerce companies in the province.

Serving as a multi-functional unit which offers policy consultation, the publication of information related to the industry, business training as well as legal aids, the institution is expected to set up branches for other online e-commerce platforms in the future, including Amazon, eBay and WISH, according to a local official.

Having been held for four years, the summit has introduced a batch of prominent companies from the cross-border e-commerce industry to Linping New Town. A total of 496 e-commerce companies have settled in the town to date, with sales revenue reaching 25.76 billion yuan ($3.72 billion).
