An autonomous delivery truck from Deppon Logistics, one of China's largest logistics companies, has emerged in the Xiasha district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, delivering packages to their customers.

Co-developed by Deppon Logistic and Chinese driverless truck startup Fabu Technology, the regular-shaped truck is equipped with a radar sensor and several cameras to help it recognize traffic lights and surroundings. After it starts, the unmanned truck will run automatically on roads without any operation from drivers.

With an average speed of 40km/h, the truck is expected to reduce transportation costs and improve the overall efficiency of the company's delivery services, according to a staff member from Deppon, adding that the automation technology allows logistic companies to save at least 10 percent of human capital per year thanks to the 24/7 high-speed uninterrupted logistics.

Deppon Logistics, a leading integrated service-oriented logistics provider, is dedicated to domestic road and air freight services. Headquartered in Shanghai, Deppon has more than 5,200 outlets across the country.
