An 18-minute light show showcasing the achievements of the reform and opening-up in China over the past four decades kicked off in Qianjiang New Town of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Nov 30.
Consisting of three chapters highlighting China's past and present, the show, employing over 700,000 LED lights, presents visitors a series of landmark events since the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949, including the return of Hong Kong and Macao to China, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit.
Other achievements in China's diplomacy, science and technological development, national defense, education and ecology are also displayed in the show.
The dazzling show took almost half a year to construct, said an official, adding that the show features Hangzhou characteristics as many materials for the show were provided by local residents.
The show lasts until Dec 16.
