Han Meilin, a renowned traditional Chinese art master, is set to have three of his artworks displayed at the 2019 Art Capital exhibition in Paris, France, that kicks off on Feb 13.

Founded in 1884, Art Capital, one of the most influential art exhibitions in the world, is a grand gathering for artists, talents and creative minds to display their works and explore contemporary art, from paintings to photographs and sculptures.

Married to a Hangzhou native, Han, the 83-year-old Chinese artist, is best known for his design of Fuwa mascots for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Drawing inspiration from Chinese folk art and ancient culture, Han's works range from paintings, calligraphy and sculptures.

He was also designated as a UNESCO Artist for Peace in 2015 for his devotion to promoting art and providing artistic education to youth.

The exhibition will last until Feb 17.
