Hangzhou delegation visits 2020 Tokyo Olympic Committee

At the invitation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Committee Tokyo 2020, an official delegation from the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Organizing Committee (HAGOC) visited Tokyo on March 5, to draw upon their lessons on hosting grand international competitions.

Led by Chen Weiqiang, vice mayor of Hangzhou, the delegation had a working session with the officials from the Organizing Committee of Tokyo Olympic Games and was briefed on their preparation work.

Impressed by what Tokyo has achieved in the level of intelligence, green environment and public participation in preparing the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Games, Chen pointed out that HAGOC will learn from experiences of their counterparts, deepen exchanges and cooperation and strive to present the world a "green, smart, economical and ethical" event.

Members of the two sides also exchanged views on issues including intelligent Games, overall planning, visual image system construction, mutual learning, and market development.
