Facilitating ecological economy with Jiangsu in the north

In February, Jiangsu and Zhejiang mapped out a blueprint on the ecological economy of Nanjing and Hangzhou, aiming to contribute to the green development of the country.

Stretching 270 kilometers, the ecological economy belt includes Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, and Wuxi in Jiangsu province, as well as Huzhou and Hangzhou in Zhejiang province.

Hangzhou should reinforce cooperation with Huzhou in Zhejiang province, cradle of the "Two Mountains" theory – in which clear waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, comparable to gold and silver mountains of legend – while strengthening environmental protection with Jiangsu, said Chen.
