Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), a leading bank in China, signed a deal on Sept 12 to become the official banking partner of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.

"The partnership has opened up many possibilities for cooperation between the two parties," said Cai Xiaochun, deputy secretary-general of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province.

Cai hopes that ICBC can provide comprehensive, one-stop banking services for the Hangzhou Asian Games by using the company's operational advantages and safe and efficient financial capabilities.

Dai Chunlin, head of ICBC's Zhejiang branch, said that ICBC will contribute to the Hangzhou Asian Games by relying on its quality services and large customer base.

The bank, which served as the official banking partner of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, will also strive to make smart use of patented technologies and intelligent equipment at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee will sign with official partners in information technology integration, cloud services, financial technology services and air passenger services, according to the market development program.
