The 2019 Hangzhou Global Qipao Festival concluded on the evening of Sept 29, with a fashion show for the traditional Chinese dress as the climax of the event. 

During the three-month festival, a series of activities were hosted in 10 cities around the world, including Paris, London and Vienna.

The top prize for this year's qipao design competition went to designer Liu Linxi. 

Audience members attending the fashion show were dazzled with a 3D light show, which used holographic projection technology to depict how the qipao has evolved over the past century. 

The fashion show also featured a catwalk parade and artistic performances given by models wearing the qipao. 

A group of female representatives read the Hangzhou Qipao Proposal, in which they claimed to increase the enchantment of the city of Hangzhou and promote Chinese culture through the qipao.

The Hangzhou Qipao Festival has been held for three consecutive years.
