Zhou Jiangyong, Party chief of Hangzhou, inspected the city's disease prevention and control center on Jan 22, urging all medical workers to take strict measures to prevent and control the spread of the new coronavirus.

Zhou said the center should focus on key areas and links to prevent the spread of the disease, coordinate with other departments and hospitals in the prevention, detection, reporting, treatment, and control of the disease, and raise public awareness of disease prevention.

He also urged all medical workers to protect themselves from infection.
