Parks in the Hangzhou West Lake scenic area will reopen to visitors starting on Feb 19, according to a notice released by the management committee of the Hangzhou West Lake scenic area on Feb 18.

The notice states that in light of the current situation regarding the coronavirus, prevention and control measures will be optimized.

From Feb 19, parks which had previously been closed due to the virus outbreak will reopen to visitors, while indoor spaces such as museums and former residences of historical figures will remain closed.

The management committee of the West Lake scenic area called on visitors to avoid cash payments for admission tickets, make appointments in advance and register their names when buying tickets.

The scenic area will use internet and big data technologies to provide convenience for visitors and ensure their safety.

The management committee will limit the number of visitors entering the scenic area and require face masks.

All visitors must have their temperature taken and show their health QR code when entering.

Only those without a fever and who have green codes can enter the parks, while those who hold red or yellow codes must be put into quarantine.

The management committee called on visitors to be cooperative and work together to overcome the virus.
