Hangzhou drugstores resume sale of medicines for fever and cough
All drugstores in Hangzhou, capital of eastern China's Zhejiang province will be permitted to continue the sale of medicines treating cough and fever starting Feb 22, after a lengthy ban due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to a notice jointly released by the Hangzhou market regulation and management authority and the Hangzhou medical security bureau.
The notice states that in light of the current situation of prevention and control of the epidemic, all drugstores in Hangzhou are allowed to sell medicines used to treat cough and fever from Feb 22.
Previously, drugstores had been banned from selling said medicines and were required to direct patients experiencing fever to the nearest hospital with fever clinics for treatment.
