Construction recently resumed on the cycling race stadium for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in Chun'an county, Hangzhou, after a lengthy break caused by the coronavirus pneumonia.

Workers must have their temperature and their health codes checked before entering. Only those whose temperatures fall in the normal range and present green health codes are allowed to enter the construction area.

As early as on Feb 14, resuming construction on the cycling venue was approved and a number of local workers in Chun'an went back to work.

Xue Xiaorong, a representative in charge of construction, said that for the sake of safety, those who live in severely affected areas will not go back to work until the end of the outbreak.

Xue said that they will increase the number of workers and mechanical facilities to make up for the delayed progress and ensure construction will be completed by the end of 2021.

The entire project covers 24,282 square meters and is located near by the Thousand-Island Lake scenic area. It includes a new cycling stadium, five other venues, and villages for athletes, media reporters and technical officers.
