Hangzhou improves negative list management system for companies amid outbreak

Hangzhou will improve its negative list management system for companies amid the current coronavirus outbreak, according to a notice released by the Hangzhou office on prevention and control of the epidemic on Feb 28.

The notice states that public places including movie theaters, chess rooms, video game centers, internet bars, ballrooms, bars, KTVs and offline training centers will remain barred from resuming operation due to the risks posed by group gatherings.

While organizations and companies including scenic spots, agritourism companies, catering companies, book stores, barber shops and foot massage parlors are allowed to resume operations as long as they abide by the rules set by local authorities on the prevention and control of the virus.

According to the notice, companies resuming business must take virus prevention and control measures.

They are required to adopt the Hangzhou health code system to check the health conditions of customers and disinfect their offices and items.

The notice also mentions that business entities should ventilate regularly and report customers with cough and fever to the local government.
