An online job fair in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, which was launched on Feb 26, has proved effective for talent recruitment amid the global novel coronavirus outbreak.

A total of 39,000 jobs are currently available at the fair, including positions at Alibaba Group, Zhejiang University, and Westlake University.

Official data revealed that 78.8 percent of job applicants hope to find a position in key industries such as digital economy, life sciences, and finance, and 40 percent have a master's degree or above.

The fair is held in cooperation with leading Chinese human resource service providers such as zhaopin.com and Liepin and is meant to provide one-stop services for both employers and jobseekers.

In addition to the fair, Hangzhou has also introduced a number of supportive policies and subsidies to attract talented people from around the world.
