Qiaoxi Historic and Cultural Block, stretching along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, is home to many dwellings of the traditional style in southern China. Through the architectures and shipping facilities visitors can still get a glimpse of the living conditions of lower-class people from the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The abandoned warehouses are transformed into museums demonstrating traditional Chinese cultures of scissor, fan, umbrella, and industrial arts. There are also coffee shop, teahouse, bookstore, and music instruments shop where people can relax themselves by playing guqin, a seven-stringed zither, tasting a cup of tea or reading books.
