An air dome for indoor sports at the Dragon Sports Center in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, will open in June, according to the sports center's administration committee.

It is the second inflated sports facility, which relies on air as its primary structural support, in the city, after a tennis stadium at Zhejiang University. 

The structure is more than 20 meters high and is equipped with a ventilation system to maintain air quality. 

The dome-shaped gymnasium has an area of 4,500 square meters and is designed for children, said Wang Zhenzhang, deputy director of the administration committee of the Dragon Sports Center.

Wang noted that the facility will organize sporting events for children, such as roller skating, mini tennis, and mini basketball, as well as family activities.
