Eighty-three firms based in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, were included on the list of Zhejiang's top 100 digital trade companies, which was recently released on the Zhejiang-Themed Day of the 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) held in Beijing from Sept 4 to 8.

Zhejiang-Themed Day is an event organized by the Zhejiang Department of Commerce with the support of the provincial government.

Every firm in the top 100 boasted at least 100 million yuan ($14.64 million) in business revenue in 2019. Hangzhou has 83 firms included on the list, demonstrating the city's strong digital economy.

The list was formulated by the Zhejiang International Digital Trade Association, the Zhejiang Qiantang Digital Trade Institute, the Alibaba Business College of Hangzhou Normal University, and the School of Finance at Hangzhou Dianzi College.

The judge panel considered each company's business revenue, technological standards, market value, and development strategies when coming up with the list.

The list includes 30 companies specializing in the production of movies, animation, and video games, 46 companies involved in digital finance, security, and medicine, 24 digital platforms for cross-border e-commerce, intelligent logistics, and cloud services, 38 listed companies, and 40 high-tech companies.

The CIFTIS is the first physical international event held in China since the outbreak of COVID-19, and has thus received international attention.

Zhejiang-Themed Day is a part of the international event. Sixteen companies in Hangzhou, including Hikvision and Dahua Technology, participated in the event and displayed their technology and products in the Zhejiang exhibition area.
