Themed with "transcend 7,000 years and grow with the new", the home field event of the 2020 Zhejiang National Science Day (the third public holiday of September) officially commenced at Yuyao County of Zhejiang Province on Sept 18.

A performance named "Combat the Epidemic with Science plus", a combination of the traditional Yuyao Opera with rap was staged during the event, and a strategic cooperation agreement on the Development of YRD region's science popularization was signed online. In addition, an APP designed for the elder smartphone users was also released by Ningbo Association for Science and Technology.

An array of science popularization activities has also kicked off across the province to provide a sci-tech feast to the public.
