An exhibition hall for model workers and craftsmen in Hangzhou was unveiled at the local Workers' Cultural Palace on Sept 26 in celebration of the second Hangzhou Craftsman Day, local media reported.

Photos and stories about model workers and craftsmen from all walks of life since the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as 11 representative works created by Hangzhou craftsmen, were exhibited at the hall.

The event also saw the latest group of 30 craftsmen being granted honorary titles by the municipal government. Aged from 22 to 76, the craftsmen specialize in various fields such as social governance, finance, urban geotechnical investigation and surveying, robot manufacturing, mold design, orphan and disabled child care, strawberry planting, and woodblock printing.

The 30 craftsmen were also awarded a special pass allowing them to ride buses and metro lines as well visit designated parks in Hangzhou free of charge.
