East China's Zhejiang province launched its autumn shopping festival on the Hubin Pedestrian Street in the provincial capital of Hangzhou on Oct 16.
The event was co-organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, and the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau.
Between Oct 16 and 18, Hubin Pedestrian Street, divided into four sections, featured a variety of bazaars, including one themed on time-honored brands in the northern section, one themed on gourmet foods in the southern section, one themed on beauty products in the eastern section, and comprehensive exhibition booths for Zhejiang cities in the western section.
Similar events are also being held in other cities in the province, including more than 700 consumption promotion activities, until mid-November. Some of the event's highlights include summits on Zhejiang-style cuisines and time-honored brands, a provincial-level agriculture exposition, and the 11th Yangtze River Delta International Sports and Leisure Expo.
