A rare, 1-meter salamander was found and released immediately in Hangzhou's Qiandao Lake on Nov 26.

Sanitation staff had at first thought the fish was a piece of rubbish! Salamanders are often regarded as an indicator of water quality, as they do not survive easily in polluted bodies of water.
