Provincial street dance association established in Hangzhou

The Zhejiang Street Dance Sports Association was founded in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on Jan 8.
Meng Changqing was elected the first president of the association and Wang Hongbo was elected as its secretary-general. A total of 62 members made up the first council.
With breakdance, a typical street dance, confirmed as an event program for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games at the 39th Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly held in Muscat, Oman and online, it is expected that a golden age of development will be ushered in for the sports activity.
The association will be committed to helping manage breakdance programs under the administration of the Zhejiang sports authorities, by drafting plans and standards for it.
It will also be responsible for publicizing information about breakdance and promoting it to a wider audience.
Wang Miaoyong, secretary-general of the All-Zhejiang Sports Federation, said that the newly established association will also help nurture skilled workers in breakdance and hold featured sports events.
