The fifth session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress commenced in the provincial capital of Hangzhou on the morning of Jan 26.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Yuan Jiajun, Party secretary of Zhejiang province.

During the event, Zheng Shanjie, governor of Zhejiang province, delivered a presentation on the provincial government work report.

The session will run until Jan 30, during which deputies to the congress are set to review the provincial government work report, and the synopsis for the province's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and the long-term development goals for 2035.
