Hangzhou among top 10 Chinese cities with strong consumption in 2020

China's financial hub Shanghai took the crown on the list of China's top 10 cities by consumption last year, followed by Beijing and Chongqing, according to the 21st Century Business Herald.
The total retail sales of consumer goods of the top three all exceeded 1 trillion yuan ($154.8 billion).
China's retail sales of consumer goods, a major indicator of consumption growth, fell 3.9 percent year-on-year to 39.2 trillion yuan in 2020, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed.
Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, was the 10th on the list.
