A sightseeing route offering riders picturesque views along the Qiantang River will soon set sail from Hangzhou, local media outlets reported.

As the only water route connecting Hangzhou and Quzhou, the four-day-three-night tour will bring visitors to more than 10 scenic spots along the Qiantang River, including Tongjun Mountain, Yan Ziling's fishing platform, Meicheng ancient town, Longyou Grottoes, Xin'an Lake, the Temple of Southern Confucianism, and Qianjiangyuan National Park.

Here are some renowned sites along the route.

Tongjun Mountain

Tongjun Mountain is a small mountain located in the downtown area of Tonglu. The name Tonglu is believed to come from a legend that says there was once an old man named Tongjun who made medicine on the mountain. He is revered as the originator of Chinese medicine.

Meicheng ancient town

Meicheng ancient town is renowned for its waterside views, as Fuchun River, Xin'an River, and Lanjiang River all pass through it.

Yan Ziling fishing platform

Yanziling fishing platform is an ancient site of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220). Boasting views of Fuchun River and lush mountains, the platform is regarded as one of the most beautiful fishing platforms in China.
