Meicheng town in Jiande city, Hangzhou has a history of over 1,000 years. The great poet Meng Haoran, who lived during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), once wrote a poem about it: "In open fields the sky on treetops seems pressing. Reflected from clear water, the moon is ever so touching."
