Following Italy's triumph at EURO 2020 on July 12, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo was announced as the top scorer of the tournament with five goals and one assist.
Ronaldo scored two penalties on June 23 against France, increasing his national goal tally to 109 goals, matching the record for most international goals set by former Iran striker Ali Daei.
Scoring moments of the top three scorers have been recorded as non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, by AntChain, the blockchain-based technology solution of Ant Group and a sponsor of the championship.

A total of 1,600 NTFs in honor of the top scorers were gifted to users of Alipay, Ant Group's mobile payment app.
This year, the Union of European Football Associations signed a 5-year agreement with AntChain to seek a digitalization reform of the football industry and offer better game-watching experiences to global fans.
Jiang Guofei, vice-president of Ant Group, said AntChain will be committed to accelerating the integration of football technology. AntChain also secured the signing between Alibaba Group and the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in December 2019.
