The 2021 Hangzhou Women's Half Marathon is scheduled to take place at 7:30 am on Oct 31, local media reported.

A total of 10,000 participants - 4,000 for the half marathon (21.0975 kilometers) and 6,000 for the mini marathon (3.5 km) - are expected to participate.

As of 4 pm on Sept 13, more than 2,500 people had signed up for the half marathon and 3,000 for the mini marathon.

Only people aged 16 to 70 can compete in the half marathon. Anyone aged below 70 can take part in the mini marathon.

Both races start and end at the intersection of No 6 Street and No 27 Street. Both race routes will pass by the University Town, Hangzhou Yanjiang Wetland Park, and along the Qiantang River.

People can sign up for the event via the WeChat official account "XS_HEDA" or by logging onto the official website of the 2021 Hangzhou Women's Half Marathon.

Registration will end on Sept 30.
