The Exciting Hangzhou Taekwondo Championship took place at Lin'an Sports Culture Exhibition Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province from Dec 3 to 5.

The championship was held by the provincial sports bureau and attracted 179 athletes from cities and counties in Zhejiang.

It was the first official sports event held at Lin'an Sports Culture Exhibition Center since the venue's renovation.

The venue was closed for renovation after being chosen to host taekwondo and wrestling events of the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, in which 31 gold medals will be decided here.

During the past year, the venue went through comprehensive upgrades and passed the evaluations of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee in September.
