The Asian Electronic Sports Federation and Hong Kong E-sports Federation kicked off the Road to Asian Games (RDAG) Tournament, an official audition for the Hong Kong e-sports team for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, on Feb 28.

The audition tested participants' skills in League of Legends, DOTA 2, FIFA Online 4, Hearthstone, Honor of Kings (Asian Games edition), Dream of The Three Kingdoms 2, Game for Peace (Asian Games edition), and Street Fighter V.

A total of 35 e-sports players will be selected after the audition and will represent Hong Kong in the international sporting event in September.

The RDAG Tournament has been carried out in South Korea, Malaysia, and India, and will open in more Asian countries and regions in the near future.

Kenneth Fok, president of Asian Electronic Sports Federation, said he was glad to see e-sports being included in the Asian Games and that the federation will strive to showcase the charm of e-sports during the Games.

"I hope the e-sports players can demonstrate their skills and bring glory to Hong Kong," Fok said.
