An industrial park highlighting the cooperation between Hangzhou High-tech Zone (Binjiang district) and Xiaoshan district was unveiled on March 3, local media outlets reported.

The industrial park will focus on developing industries such as information and communication technology, innovative biomedicine, advanced manufacturing, and modern services.

It is expected to take advantage of industrial clusters such as the Sanjiang Chuangzhi New Town, the Future Industrial Community, Hutouchen Industrial Park, and the Purple Orange and Blue Orange Industrial Parks.

The park will optimize allocation of resources from the two regions and adhere to the principles of win-win cooperation, as well as strive to attract advanced manufacturing projects and establish key manufacturing links across regions. It will also aim to take the lead in establishing an advanced manufacturing cluster that integrates R&D headquarters with core manufacturing and manufacturing in nearby regions.

Cloud Nine Information Technology, a high-tech company based in Binjiang district, set up a new headquarters at the Future Industrial Community a few days ago.

"Our headquarters has started construction and is expected to generate annual sales of 7 billion yuan ($1.11 billion). The new industrial park will boost the development of the digital economy in Hangzhou and even Zhejiang province," said Yu Yingtao, chairman of Tsinghua Unigroup, owner of the Cloud Nine Information Technology Co.
